Today our activity introduced the idea of DNA replication or DNA copying itself. This assignment is not graded but replication will be important to understand moving forward. ![]()
Today we are looking at some of the evidence that scientists found to help us understand the structure and nature of DNA. We learn about Rosalind Franklin, whose X-Ray images of DNA were perhaps the most important clue in to the search for the structure of DNA. Then we look at Erwin Chargaff and his work with understanding the base pair rule. Chargaff's Rule Rule is a graded assignment due Thursday 9/12. ![]()
We explored the structure of DNA by making models out of red vines and marshmallows. If you are doing this at home without the materials, just sketch it using the sequence on the sheet. ![]()
