Today, we are looking at a mystery mineral and trying to discover the properties by observing and doing certain tests on it. Please see the textbook online for procedure and information (under the resources tab).
Holy Cow! I hope you are enjoying the snow.
Students should be finishing up their pendulum work samples. Background has seemed pretty challenging for the kids. Just make sure they don't get stuck on it. After I grade on the state rubric, I will be providing feedback and time to improve the project for before I grade it. I wanted to provide some resources below for kids to do some previewing of our next unit (rocks and minerals). While I can't require any of these, the more background the have before we start, the better. Please write your procedure and make a data table. The data table can be blank, but indicate which kind of data you will be collecting.
