Today we practiced more balancing equations and discussed the idea of conservation of mass. We finished the day with a classic vinegar and baking reaction. See attached if you were gone. You can definitely do this one at home. The students wrote down observations and tested for temperature change. See below for balancing practice and answers.
A chemical change is when two or more substances react together to form new substances. Remember, atoms are not created or destroyed, just rearranged.
We are learning about ionic bonding and how to model these bonds.
